Innovak Global has developed Haddak Plus, a liquid biostimulant formulated with polyphenols (mainly lignans) that promote the overexpression of key genes related to stomatal opening and pigment production (chlorophylls and carotenoids), together favoring the photosynthetic process. Haddak Plus prevents and corrects adverse effects caused by abiotic stress - particularly heat stress and low relative humidity - with a demonstrated and decisive mode of action.
Results are visible in different crops. In alfalfa, for example, the flowering time after each cut was shortening - a sign of stress. With Haddak Plus, flowering can be delayed, restoring yields and quality from previous periods. Other signs of crop stress include lack of turgidity; after applying this product, the crop has been shown to recover this characteristic. When stomata close, the plant stops transpiring, loses temperature regulation capacity, and the leaf starts to heat up beyond ambient temperature.
Haddak Plus can be applied in all phenological stages of the crop, especially in those where an energy imbalance resulting from stress would have negative effects on yield and/or product quality objectives - such as during flowering, post-harvest recovery, and critical structural development stages. Trials in Peru in table grapes and blueberries, and in Chile in cherry, hazelnut, and avocado, have shown very positive results in extending the stomatal opening period.
