Broad spectrum fungicide and bactericide
CUVREK DP®, is a broad spectrum fungicide for the control of fungal diseases. It is free of dust due to its exclusive Dry Prill formulation.
The copper ions in the copper hydroxide stop the germination of fungal spores and kill bacteria, protecting plants from infection.
These ions, dissolved in the water film, are transported to the site of infection of the spore or bacteria, where they can be absorbed through the cell membrane. Once inside the cell, copper ions destroy the ability of many enzymes to function. This multisite effect makes it difficult for fungi to develop resistance to cupric fungicides. Without these enzymes, the spores do not germinate and the bacteria die.
